Russian Forces Intensify Offensive Operations in Pokrovsk Direction
The tactical approach of Russian forces in the Donbas region has shifted noticeably: the Russians have begun actively deploying heavy armored equipment and increasing storming operations in the Pokrovsk sector.
According to Grigoriy Shapoval, spokesperson for the Eastern military group, the number of troops and military hardware has significantly increased.
While previously the Russians operated primarily in small infantry groups, they are now employing larger forces with heavy armored vehicles and greater manpower.
Urban combat is ongoing in the city, and the situation remains tense but under Ukrainian control.
Currently, over 90% of the city structures have been destroyed or damaged, and the invaders are attempting to consolidate their position through assaults and storing resources in underground shelters.
The Russian military is expanding its presence in Pokrovsk — about 200 infantry soldiers are stationed there.
Volunteer Serhiy Sternenko reports that logistics and access for vehicles are currently unavailable.
Under Vladimir Putin’s orders, Russia aims to seize Pokrovsk by mid-November, prompting Ukrainian forces to strengthen their defenses and hold this strategically vital city.
