Former Odessa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov is Suspected of Negligence During City Flood
Gennadiy Trukhanov, the former mayor of Odessa, along with two of his deputies, has been formally notified of suspicion due to their alleged neglect and inadequate response during the devastating flood that hit the city on September 30.
The natural disaster resulted in loss of life, prompting widespread public and official concern.
According to sources, the suspicion was handed over on the evening of October 28, when law enforcement officials announced that the city’s leadership failed to take sufficient preventive measures and respond effectively to the water emergency.
