Ukrainian intelligence confirms elimination of Russian general’s son during specialized operation
The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine has released a detailed video footage demonstrating the elimination of Russian Lieutenant Vasily Marzoev, the son of a high-ranking officer with a notable history of military crimes.
According to official sources, this action was the result of a focused and precise military operation carried out by Ukrainian forces in the Zaporizhzhia sector on October 15.
Reports by the GUR indicate that during aerial reconnaissance near the village of Plavni in Vasylivsky district, Ukrainian drones identified the position of Russian troops, including a group in which Marzoev was present.
Using intelligence data, Ukrainian forces executed a pinpoint strike with a guided air bomb, destroying the platoon commander of the 108th parachute regiment of the 7th Air Assault Division located in that area.
Notably, Vasily Marzoev is the son of Lieutenant General Arkady Marzoev, commander of the 18th Army of the Southern Military District of Russia, known for involvement in war crimes, particularly against civilians in Kherson.
This development underscores the changing tactics of Ukrainian defense and the ongoing efforts to eliminate key Russian officers accused of war crimes.
