Ukrainian analysts reveal strategic missile defense ring around Moscow after drone attack

Chas Pravdy - 27 October 2025 03:28

Ukrainian experts from the OSINT community «CyberFlour» released an updated map detailing the positioning of air defense systems around Moscow, in response to the drone attack on October 27.

This new map not only confirms the multi-layered air defense shield protecting Russia’s capital but also highlights the deployment of key missile defense systems such as the Pantsir, as well as S-300 and S-400 systems.

These installations encircle the metropolis, creating a formidable defensive ring that covers critical infrastructure facilities.

Experts emphasize that these are not isolated positions but a comprehensive defensive perimeter.

The map shows various colored markers indicating different types of systems: yellow for Pantsir radar towers, green for elevated positions with Pantsir complexes, red for S-300 and S-400 locations, blue for radar units, and orange for possible new anti-aircraft installations forming a new defense ring up to 50 kilometers around Moscow.

This information is still under verification.

Nearby the residence of Vladimir Putin, new Pantsir S-1 missile systems have been installed, indicating increased defense measures in this strategic zone.

Meanwhile, Russian media released footage supposedly showing drones launched from the «Moscow-City» center targeting Ukraine, but this video was later removed.

Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Kyrylo Budanov previously stated that Russian forces have deployed the latest S-500 air defense systems in Crimea, further expanding Ukraine’s capabilities to counter Russian aerial threats.
