Ukraine Strengthens Mobile Connectivity and Energy Stability Despite Power Challenges
Despite significant issues with power supply and frequent outages across the country, Ukrainian authorities and specialists are actively working to improve communication systems and ensure continuous connectivity.
Following a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, several critical decisions were made to reinforce mobile networks, including the deployment of additional base stations with backup power sources and the redistribution of energy resources to strategic areas, especially in frontline zones.
NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov announced on Facebook that priorities include enhancing air defense cooperation with international partners.
He emphasized the importance of increasing the number of mobile towers equipped with emergency power to maintain communication under severe conditions.
Additionally, discussions covered the implementation of contracts for 2025 and plans for 2026–2028.
Ukrainian enterprises received instructions to coordinate weekly schedules for supplies and resources.
Moreover, Ukraine successfully tested the Starlink Direct to Cell technology for the first time, enabling satellite communication directly through smartphones, which is crucial during power outages and active hostilities.
