Tragic Incident in Kirovohrad Region: Two Children and an Adult Die from Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
A tragic event has unfolded in the Kirovohrad region, claiming the lives of two young children and an adult.
According to the State Emergency Service, in the small village of Novyi Starodub, part of the Petrivska community in Oleksandriia district, a carbon monoxide poisoning incident resulted in three fatalities.
Among the victims are two children born in 2010 and 2011, along with an adult woman.
Additionally, another child born in 2025 and a woman aged 1988 sustained injuries and were hospitalized.
The incident occurred unexpectedly, and law enforcement authorities are currently investigating all circumstances surrounding this tragedy, which once again highlights the dangers of improper handling of gas appliances and the importance of timely inspection of heating systems in homes.
