Russian Attack on Critical Infrastructure in Chernihiv Region: Impact on Regional Power Supply
On Monday, October 27, Ukrainian forces faced a new barrage as Russian troops launched multiple strikes on critical infrastructure facilities in Chernihiv region, particularly targeting Korukivskyi district.
One of the region’s key energy facilities was significantly damaged, according to the Snovska city council.
The aggressors continue to threaten and destroy vital infrastructure, preparing for prolonged confrontation that could leave many towns and villages without electricity and heating during the cold season.
In response, specialists from NJSC “Chernihivoblenergo” have pledged to begin emergency repair works as soon as the security situation allows.
Local authorities urge citizens to remain calm and assure that all relevant emergency services are working tirelessly to address the aftermath and restore power supplies.
