Investigation into Former Head of Khmelnytskyi MSEC: NABU and SAP Finish Inquiry into Tetyana Krupа
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) have finalized the pre-trial investigation into the former head of the Khmelnytskyi Medical-Social Expertise Center (MSEC), Tetyana Krupa, who currently serves as a regional council deputy.
According to investigations, between 2020 and 2024, she illegally enriched herself by over 160 million hryvnias, involving her husband and son in the scheme.
Part of the illicit gains was legalized through fictitious real estate sales, after which, with her husband’s assistance, the funds were transferred abroad and deposited into foreign bank accounts.
Her defense team is now reviewing the case materials before further legal proceedings.
The investigation began after law enforcement uncovered her involvement in illicit activities, including fictitious property transactions and asset transfer to foreign accounts.
Notably, in September 2024, she was granted a bail of 20 million hryvnias.
The investigation revealed that she amassed 128 properties, including residential and commercial real estate, over 140 land plots, 30 luxury cars, stakes worth over 20 million hryvnias, and millions in bank accounts.
In a separate journalistic investigation, it was found that the Krupa family owns ten land parcels and nine houses in Volytsia village, largely acquired in 2021–2022.
The case has sparked public debates about widespread corruption among regional officials and raised doubts regarding the integrity of local institutions.
