Ukrainian Armed Forces Successfully Conduct Counterattacks in Kharkiv Region and Liberate Settlements, ISW Reports

Chas Pravdy - 26 October 2025 07:22

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to carry out active counteroffensive operations in the Kharkiv region, demonstrating significant strategic and tactical progress in their fight to reclaim territory.

Recent reports indicate Ukrainian troops have regained ground on the Kupiansk front, liberating several settlements and laying the groundwork for further advances.

The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) notes that Ukrainian forces have recently taken control of the Tishchenkivka village northwest of Kupiansk and have pushed east of Sobolivka, located west of the city.

At the same time, information from Russian military bloggers suggests that Russian forces have advanced into the center of Kupiansk, though ISW has not confirmed these claims.

Geolocation footage published on October 25 shows occupiers holding Russian flags in the northern part of Kurylivka village, southeast of Kupiansk.

This indicates infiltration activities rather than a major shift in the front line.

Previously, reports highlighted successful mechanized assaults by Ukrainian troops and the liberation of Mirove village, marking important steps in Ukraine’s ongoing strategic countermeasures against Russian aggression.
