Moscow Mayor Reports Series of Drone Attacks on Russian Capital
On Sunday evening, the Russian capital was struck by a series of drone attacks, drawing significant public and governmental attention.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin officially announced via his Telegram account that between 4:41 PM and 9:00 PM, several drones were targeted at the city and subsequently neutralized by the Russian Defense Ministry’s air defense systems.
According to reports, at 4:41 PM, one drone was shot down, and emergency services are now at the crash site assessing the situation.
Later, at 8:49 PM, another drone was destroyed, followed by two more around 9:00 PM — one intercepted and the other eliminated shortly thereafter.
Experts are now examining the debris to determine the scope and consequences of the attacks.
Russian authorities and security agencies are working to identify those responsible and understand the motives behind these strikes.
