Honesty on the Frontline – A Value Above All: Syrsky Calls on Military to Speak the Truth about the Situation
Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief, General Oleksandr Syrsky, recently visited one of the most critical and tense sectors of the front in Pokrovsk.
During his trip, he met with commanders of combat units engaged in demanding tasks in the vicinity of Pokrovsk city.
In his speech, the commander emphasized the paramount importance of honesty and transparency in reporting the true state of affairs on the battlefield.
He stated that any concealment or dishonesty has the highest price – the lives of soldiers defending Ukraine.
“If a commander or soldier hides the real picture of the situation, they jeopardize the lives of their colleagues and subordinates.
My duty is to demand transparency and truth, regardless of what they are,” Syrsky declared.
The situation on the front remains dire: Ukrainian forces managed to repel Russian counterattacks in one vital area, but the enemy advanced in two other regions.
According to released reports, at least 250 Russian fighters are stationed in Pokrovsk, engaging in street battles, shelling Ukrainian positions, and attempting to destroy Ukrainian drones.
Military officers note that the situation is critical and tense: Russians are using FPV drones for control and advancement, forcing Ukrainian soldiers to cover distances of 10-15 kilometers on foot to support their positions and oppose the foe.
