German Minister Experiences Traumatic Event During Rocket Attack on Kyiv
On the night of Saturday, October 25, Kyiv once again came under Russian missile strikes, causing widespread destruction and chaos.
Amidst the darkness, German Economy Minister Katrin Reiche found herself witnessing a devastating attack that she described as a ‘painful experience’ leaving a deep impact on her.
She was forced to seek shelter in a bunker along with local staff and witnesses.
According to her, these intense attacks are not accidental but part of a deliberate strategy to exhaust the Ukrainian population.
The minister, who arrived in Kyiv the day before with an economic delegation for a multi-day visit, expressed her support for Ukraine and pledged assistance in restoring the damaged energy infrastructure.
Despite the destruction of electricity and heat supplies, Germany remains committed to supporting the Ukrainian people, who daily face the dangers of war.
The attack resulted in at least two deaths and 12 injuries.
The minister emphasized the importance of joint efforts to address the crisis and support Ukraine during these challenging times.
