Fake News and Panic: How Russian Disinformation Campaigns Try to Destabilize Situation in Dnipropetrovsk Region

Chas Pravdy - 26 October 2025 13:21

In the hottest spots of Dnipropetrovsk region, false information continues to spread with the aim of sparking panic among the population and undermining trust in the Ukrainian military.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refutes reports about the occupation of Verbyove and Berezove villages by Russian forces.

According to our defenders, these settlements remain under Ukrainian control, with troops bravely holding the line and repelling enemy advances in the most intense sectors of the front.

Representatives of the General Staff emphasize that despite constant attacks by the Russian army, the situation remains under Ukrainian control, and defenders successfully counteract enemy movements in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Meanwhile, military analysts report significant Russian losses and note that Москва активно распространяет disinformation to create panic and sow disillusionment among Ukrainians.

The General Staff urges citizens to approach unverified social media reports critically and rely solely on official sources.

Ukrainian forces also report that on key operational directions, including around Dobropillia, several villages have been liberated, and enemy activity has decreased, indicating successful Ukrainian counteroffensives.
