Delays in Ukrainian «Flamingo» missile production: Zelensky announces process recovery
Production of Ukraine’s cruise missile «Flamingo» experienced temporary technical difficulties due to delayed financing from international partners.
This situation caused a pause in the manufacturing process.
However, the issue is now being successfully addressed.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine has secured its own financial resources to complete the production and fulfill contractual obligations.
He emphasized that the state order for the specified number of «Flamingo» missiles will be fully executed by the end of the year.
Details regarding the total number of missiles remain confidential, but Ukraine is expected to receive the required quantity of weapons.
In a phone interview with TSN Week’s presenter Alla Mazur, Zelensky mentioned that the technical pause has been resolved and all parties are satisfied with the results.
According to Mazur, a key figure involved in this situation is whistleblower Kasyanov from Fire Point — a person who, according to the President, has built trust.
Currently, Fire Point produces two to three «Flamingo» missiles daily, and the production schedule will continue according to plan, ensuring full support for Ukraine’s defense industry,” – said Fire Point’s chief designer Denis Schilerman.
