Croatian Defense Minister Arrives in Kyiv: Support and Cooperation Amid Military Crisis

Chas Pravdy - 26 October 2025 15:23

In Kyiv, an important diplomatic visit took place — Croatia’s Defense Minister Ivan Anusic arrived in the Ukrainian capital.

This two-day visit not only holds official significance but also symbolizes Croatia’s solidarity with the Ukrainian people amid ongoing Russian aggression.

The minister emphasized that his visit is a tribute to the courage and resilience of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians who have suffered great losses due to the war.

The main goal of the visit is to discuss cooperation in military and humanitarian spheres, including further support for Ukraine’s defense industry.

During meetings with Ukrainian Defense Minister Denis Shmyhal, negotiations are planned to strengthen bilateral military ties and exchange expertise.

Croatia has already a notable history of supporting Ukraine — last year, the country handed over a robotic demining system DOK-ING MV-4 and Mi-8 helicopters.

In addition to military aid, Croatia actively provides humanitarian assistance, aiding in the rehabilitation of Ukrainian children and soldiers affected by the war.

Anusic confirmed Croatia’s continued commitment to support Ukraine in these challenging times, demonstrating strong solidarity during this difficult period.
