Critical Situation in Pokrovsk: Russian Forces Tactically Strengthen in Urban Areas
In Pokrovsk, a city in Donetsk region, intense fighting continues between Ukrainian defenders and Russian troops.
Recent reports indicate that the Russians have assembled approximately 200 soldiers in the city, employing tactics of small group infiltration to gradually seize control of territories, resulting in constant skirmishes.
Ukrainian military units are actively conducting counter-diversion operations, destroying and capturing Russian personnel attempting to infiltrate the city to establish a foothold within the urban infrastructure.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the situation is worsening daily: enemy forces are intensifying their offensive efforts and significantly outnumber Ukrainian defenses.
At the same time, Ukrainian units have successfully liberated several settlements on the Dobropillia front, including Sukhetsky and Kucheriv Yar, reclaiming over 185 square kilometers of territory.
Volunteer Serhiy Sternenko emphasized that logistics in Pokrovsk has been virtually disrupted due to the lack of supply chains and transport access, complicating the situation further.
Sky News reported in September that the defense of Pokrovsk might be nearing its end as occupiers push Ukrainian defenders out of their positions.
Many analysts believe the situation in Pokrovsk remains critical and urgent measures are needed to strengthen defense lines and prevent further advances by the invaders.
