Consequences of Russian Drone Attack in Kyiv: Human Losses and Destruction
The recent night aerial assault using Russian drones on Kyiv has resulted in significant human and structural damage.
According to official reports from Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, on October 26, a drone attack caused the deaths of three civilians and injuries to 27 others, including six children.
The strike targeted the Desnianskyi district, where debris from the drone fell onto residential buildings, notably a nine-story apartment complex on the second floor level.
The explosion ignited fires in several apartments, which spread to balconies from the fourth to the seventh floors.
The fires have already been extinguished, and ongoing work involves dismantling the structural damages.
Additionally, nearby buildings suffered broken windows, damaged doors, and partial destruction of facades and inter-floor structures between the sixth and eighth floors.
Fortunately, five residents were rescued from the affected buildings.
Currently, rescue and recovery operations continue at the scene as authorities work to clear the debris and secure the area.
