Another Tragedy in Sumy Region: Attack on Minibus Results in Death and Injuries

A recent incident in the Sumy region highlights the ongoing security challenges faced by the area.

During another attack on a minibus in the Sumy district, a 69-year-old man was killed, and 12 passengers were injured of varying severity.

According to Oleg Grygorov, head of the Sumy regional military administration, among the injured are children aged 8 and 15, as well as several women.

All those hurt are currently receiving necessary medical assistance at local healthcare facilities.

The authorities reported that the attack was carried out under high-risk conditions, with drones and other means employed by the perpetrators.

The location of the incident was under strict restrictions due to the increased danger posed by Russian drone strikes.

The minibus, which was en route to Sumy, was completely burned, complicating evacuation efforts and emergency response.

Law enforcement agencies are now investigating the circumstances of the incident to determine the factors and actions that led to this tragedy.

It is also noteworthy that on October 23, Russian forces targeted the Sumy railway station with drone strikes, underscoring the persistent threat in the region.
