Another Episode in the War: Dam Burst in Belgorod and Cutting Off Russian Units Near Vovchansk
Amid ongoing tensions in Ukraine’s eastern conflict zone, new reports highlight the destructive consequences of Ukrainian military actions.
On October 25, it was announced that the Belgorod reservoir dam in Russia’s Belgorod city sustained significant damage due to a Ukrainian strike.
This resulted in the dam breach, causing water to spill and creating a serious threat of flooding to nearby settlements and infrastructure.
Region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that the water level dropped by one meter in a day, complicating enemy logistics and endangering their positions.
Military sources state that, following Ukrainian strikes, Russian units that crossed the Siversky Donets near Vovchansk have essentially been cut off from their main forces, further exacerbating their tactical situation.
Meanwhile, in the Kharkiv region, the situation worsens: flooding of private households, partial evacuations, and deteriorating logistical routes.
Official reports emphasize that Ukrainian troops continue active operations aimed at strengthening their positions and disrupting enemy plans, causing considerable concern among Russian command.
