Aftermath of Missile Strike on Kyiv: Continuous Firefighting Efforts and Subsequent Attacks
Following the missile attack that targeted Kyiv early morning on October 25, the city faced a major emergency.
Ukrainian firefighters and rescue teams battled fires for more than 24 hours, caused by the Russian strike on the capital.
According to the State Emergency Service, by the evening of October 25, fires in the Desniansky and Darnytsky districts were fully extinguished.
However, rescue workers remained on-site to dismantle debris and water down structures to prevent flare-ups.
More than 350 emergency personnel and 66 specialized vehicles were involved in the response.
Despite these efforts, just a few hours after extinguishing the fires, Kyiv was again attacked by drones and air strikes.
The Russian forces targeted residential buildings, resulting in at least 24 casualties.
This renewed wave of assaults highlights the persistent and deliberate efforts by the aggressor to dismantle Ukraine’s infrastructure and civilian homes.
