Kyiv Combats Nighttime Attacks: Aviation and Drones Fight Fires After Russian Strikes
Kyiv is currently engaged in intensive efforts to address the aftermath of a nighttime missile attack carried out by Russia.
Amid extensive destruction and fires across the capital, all available aviation assets of the State Emergency Service (SES), along with modern drones and robotics, have been deployed for rapid response and containment.
According to Kyiv SES spokesperson Pavlo Petrov, the situation remains under control: fires have been localized, and firefighting efforts are ongoing.
The primary challenge remains the large area affected, but the resources are sufficient to extinguish the flames promptly.
Explosive ordnance disposal teams have inspected the attack sites to identify potential hazards, while remnants of debris still pose risks that civilians are advised to avoid.
Currently, the fires have been contained without further spread.
This response follows a night attack that resulted in one death and multiple injuries among Kyiv residents, highlighting the ongoing threat posed by Russian aggression.
