Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Destroys Russian Air Defense Systems and Radar Stations
In the occupied territories of southern Ukraine, Ukrainian intelligence officers from the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense carried out a series of successful operations targeting significant Russian air defense systems.
For the first time in many months, confirmation emerged of the destruction of complex and valuable missile systems, including the Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system and two Naboo-SVU radar stations.
These significant achievements were confirmed on October 23 and 24 when specialized Ukrainian forces, employing strike drones, located and successfully destroyed crucial objects vital to Russian military capabilities.
Specifically, they targeted the modern Buk-M3 missile system, which is among the most advanced in the world and capable of countering aircraft and missile strikes effectively.
Additionally, two powerful Naboo-SVU radar stations that monitor and identify air targets were eliminated.
These stations play a critical role in detecting strategic and tactical aircraft as well as low-observable objects.
Video footage from the operations demonstrates the professionalism and readiness of Ukrainian special forces in confronting the enemy.
Furthermore, it was clarified that Russian air defense assets were eliminated not only in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions but also in the temporarily occupied Crimea, dealing a significant strategic blow to Russia’s defense system.
Exclusive videos shared by Ukrainian intelligence showcase cutting-edge equipment and the high skill level of Ukrainian troops.
It is important to note that these missile systems appeared in the Russian army only in 2016 and are regarded as some of the most modern globally.
The Buk-M3 air defense system is noted for its mobility and ability to rapidly respond to threats, providing critical coverage for strategic targets.
These operations mark a substantial advancement in Ukraine’s efforts to weaken Russian military capabilities and strengthen its defense, according to Ukrainian GUR reports.
