Critical Situation in Pokrovsk and Mriograd: Russian Occupiers Intensify Offensive, Ukrainian Forces Suffer Heavy Losses
In the city of Pokrovsk, which is currently under constant shelling by Russian occupiers, the situation has reached a critical level.
According to Ukrainian military sources, at least 250 Russian invaders are present in the city, actively engaging in combat and fighting Ukrainian units while shelling their positions.
The enemy employs drones to manage logistics, controlling supply routes and facilitating troop movements.
Ukrainian soldiers are walking up to 10–15 kilometers to reach their positions, making their situation even more precarious.
Officers from two military brigades, who have been defending these areas for a long time, report that the situation is deteriorating day by day, becoming increasingly tense and dire.
They state that after the July clearance operations, Russian forces re-entered the city by the end of summer, establishing multiple assembly points around Pokrovsk, from which they launch active offensives.
This results in fierce battles and significant casualties among both military personnel and civilians.
Streets are ravaged by combat, and movement around the area is extremely dangerous due to constant use of kamikaze drones and mine deployment.
Logistics are severely strained—although some routes are passable by vehicle, most of the way must be traversed on foot, which is extremely dangerous and exhausting.
Ukrainian troops are suffering heavy losses, including among infantry units that have practically lost communication and control over their positions.
Evacuating wounded soldiers is nearly impossible because of ongoing shelling and enemy control.
The overall logistical situation resembles a disaster, severely hampering the defensive efforts.
All this indicates that defending Pokrovsk and nearby regions becomes more challenging each day, and without additional resources and support, Ukrainian forces risk losing control over strategic positions.
Moreover, fighting along long, risky routes, they constantly encounter enemy groups trying to cut them off from rear supply lines and dominate with artillery and surveillance drones.
Overall, the situation in Pokrovsk and Mriograd is increasingly desperate and calls for urgent military intervention and aid to stabilize the region.
