Ukrainian Defenders Reclaim Positions near Dobrovillya: Were the Russians Able to Halt the Advance?
In eastern Ukraine, within the Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces continue their active engagement along the front line near Dobrovillya and its surrounding areas.
Recent reports confirm that the Ukrainian military has successfully regained control over previously held positions near the villages of Nove Shakhove and Kucheriv Yar, situated along the Pokrovsk direction.
This information comes from Ukrainian media and analytical resources, including DeepState, which updated its interactive front maps.
However, observers note that despite these advances, Russian troops have pushed forward closer to the villages of Novotoretske and Shakhove, exploiting the enemy’s protrusions into Ukrainian territory.
According to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, as of October 21, there has been increased militant activity by pro-Russian forces around the settlements of Volodymyrivka and Nikanorivka.
Over the past 24 hours, the frontline in this sector has seen more than 40 enemy attacks, making it one of the most heated areas on the entire front line.
Earlier reports indicated that this region remains one of the most intense zones, with over a third of enemy assaults occurring here; total attacks for the day reaching 111.
The Russian invaders continue targeted offensives in multiple towns, including Myrnograd, Novoekonomichne, Chervony Liman, Rodinske, Promin, Novopavlivka, Pokrovsk, Kotelne, Udachne, Molodetske, Zvirove, Dachne, Filya, and in the direction of Hrishyne.
Ukrainian military sources recently announced the liberation of Kucheriv Yar from enemy control, marking an important milestone in defending this critical section of the front line.
