Russian Drones Attack Railway Station in Sumy: Injuries and Infrastructure Damage Reported
On the night of October 22-23, Russian unmanned aerial vehicles launched a new attack on the railway station in the Sumy region.
The strike caused significant damage to infrastructure and injured two railway workers.
According to Oleg Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, the attack occurred around 3 a.m.
and targeted key railway infrastructure, which is an important strategic object for the region.
As a result of the strike, a 35-year-old railway employee was injured and hospitalized; he is receiving medical care, and his life is not in danger.
Another victim, a 28-year-old man, received assistance on-site.
At the same time, air raid alerts were issued twice in Sumy: the first lasted nearly four hours, from 21:41 on October 22 to 01:35 on October 23; the second alert was announced at 02:13 and is still ongoing, lasting over three and a half hours.
Sergey Kryvosheienko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration, clarified that the drone attack hit the railway station in Sumy, with ongoing details about the consequences.
This is not the first incident that night—earlier reports indicated artillery strikes on Kyiv, resulting in injuries and infrastructure damage.
