Journalists Killed in Kramatorsk by Russian Drone Attack: Heroes Without Armor
Vadym Filyashkin, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported a tragic event where two Ukrainian journalists lost their lives during an attack by a Russian drone type “Lancelet” in Kramatorsk.
The victims are Olena Hubanova, a journalist from the “Freedom” TV channel, and her cameraman Yevhen Karmazin.
According to the official, these brave individuals were not only witnesses of some of the hottest battles in Donetsk region but also active participants in Ukraine’s informational defense.
From the very first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion, they documented the situation, told the truth about enemy crimes, civil evacuations, and stories of our defenders.
Always at the front lines, they captured the most critical moments.
Sadly, their lives were cut short by a devastating blow from an enemy drone.
Following the incident, the site was examined, and photos of the destroyed vehicle and personal belongings, including body armor with a “Press” patch, were released.
The region’s head expressed deep condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the fallen heroes.
They will forever be remembered as heroes who bravely fulfilled their duty—informing the world of the truth under the most difficult circumstances of war.
