Ukraine Implements Scheduled Power Outage Timetables Amid Russian Attacks

Chas Pravdy - 22 October 2025 14:36

In several regions of Ukraine, new scheduled power outage plans have been introduced in response to extensive shelling and damage to energy infrastructure caused by Russian attacks.

According to the National Energy Company ‘Ukrenergo,’ in areas that have experienced prolonged power outages due to nighttime missile strikes, regulated outage schedules have replaced previous emergency blackouts.

Notably, this applies to Sumy, Cherkasy, Poltava, and Kirovohrad regions, where authorities and energy companies are working to reduce load and stabilize electricity supply for residents.

Consumers can find the exact timing and duration of power outages on official regional distribution operator websites.

For example, ‘Cherkasyoblenergo’ announced that on October 22, from 13:30 to 15:30, scheduled outage timetables will be implemented with possible adjustments: first shift – 13:30-15:30, second shift – 13:30-15:30.

In Poltava, outages are planned from 18:30 to 23:59, covering one and a half outage shifts.

Meanwhile, in some parts of the country, emergency disconnections continue to operate under special protocols to prevent total system failure.

This ongoing situation reflects the persistent complexity of Ukraine’s energy security, largely driven by Russian military aggression and infrastructural damages.
