Ukraine Conducts Night Strikes on Strategic Targets Inside Russia
On the night of October 22, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a series of precise strikes on key infrastructure targets within the Russian Federation, demonstrating again their ability to hit vital objects beyond Ukrainian borders.
According to the official statement from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, two main targets were hit: the Saran Mechanical Plant in the Republic of Mordovia and the Makhachkala Oil Refinery in Dagestan.
The strike on the former was directed at the enterprise manufacturing anti-personnel engineering munitions, mine-laying sets, and detonators, while the attack on the latter impacted one of the refining units responsible for processing oil.
The aim was to weaken Russia’s military-industrial potential and further limit its capacity to supply military bases and fleets.
Earlier, on Tuesday, Ukrainian forces struck at the Bryansk chemical plant, utilizing, among other weapons, Storm Shadow missiles, highlighting the breadth and precision of Kyiv’s operational capabilities in targeting strategic facilities across the border.
