Russian Threat Persists: The Situation in Kharkiv and Donbas Remains Highly Tense

Chas Pravdy - 22 October 2025 03:29

The conflict zones in Kharkiv and eastern Ukraine continue to be extremely tense and unpredictable due to prolonged and intensified attacks by Russian forces.

According to recent reports from Ukrainian defenders, the enemy carries out ongoing assaults on Ukrainian positions in the South Slobozhansky direction, worsening the frontline situation.

Spokesman of the Third Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, Ihor Romanenko, stated that Ukrainian units near Milove, Hatne, Ambarne, and Bologivka are successfully holding their defenses despite daily enemy attacks.

Russian troops employ various tactics—small infantry groups traveling by light vehicles and motorcycles, as well as large-scale artillery and air strikes—in an attempt to break through our lines.

At the same time, the occupiers intensify fire using heavy artillery, aviation bombs, and heavy flame systems, trying to diminish Ukraine’s defensive capabilities.

It is crucial to highlight that Ukrainian forces remain steadfast, utilizing artillery, tanks, and UAV support to hold their positions and prevent enemy penetration deeper into Ukrainian territory.

On the Kostiantynivka front, the situation also remains challenging — Russian soldiers continue relentless assaults despite significant losses.

According to military officials, the number of eliminated Russian invaders has already reached a scale comparable to a packed European football stadium, symbolizing the heavy human toll that Russia’s aggression is exacting on the enemy.

This underlines the increasing cost of the conflict for Moscow and underscores the resilience and determination of Ukrainian defenders, who are fighting tirelessly to safeguard their land and prevent escalation of the ongoing war.
