On the night of October 22, Russian forces launched a massive new attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, causing significant damage and disruptions in power supply systems.
According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy, as of the morning of October 23, Russian occupiers continue striking critical energy facilities.
Minister Svetlana Grynyuk announced via Telegram that ‘the enemy has been conducting attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure all night, and the massive assault is ongoing.’ She added that details on the extent of damages will be provided later, and urged Ukrainians to stay in shelters.
Energy specialists are already preparing to assess the damage and commence restoration works once security conditions improve.
