Night Attack on Ukraine: Six Killed and Seventeen Injured During New Missile Strike
In the dead of night on October 22, Ukrainian cities once again came under heavy missile attack, resulting in the deaths of six civilians, including two children, and injuries to seventeen others of varying severity.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the assault was carried out by the Russian army overnight and served as yet another confirmation that Moscow continues to ignore international norms and does not feel sufficient pressure for its actions.
According to official reports, Ukrainian air defense systems were active throughout the night, aiming to intercept deadly missiles and drones launched by the aggressor.
The strikes primarily targeted residential areas and energy infrastructure, causing extensive damage and temporary disruptions in power supplies.
At present, six people have died, including two children, and 17 have been wounded.
The president emphasized that this night again highlights the ruthless nature of Russian aggression and underscores the need to strengthen the country’s defenses.
