Night Attack: Damage at Stefanishina’s House in Rusanivka and the Consequences of Russian Strikes

Chas Pravdy - 22 October 2025 15:44

On the night of October 22nd, Kyiv experienced another tragic incident demonstrating the devastating scale of Russia’s military actions on Ukrainian territory.

During a missile and drone attack, a target was hit in the Rusanivka district, where Ukrainian Member of Parliament Olha Stefanishina resides.

The enemy launched another batch of dangerous ‘Shahed’ drones, one of which struck her house.

Fortunately, the impact occurred in a non-residential part of the building, and no residents were injured.

Stefanishina shared on Facebook that at the moment of the attack, she and her children were in the bathroom, and the noise was so loud that the children were frightened, but no serious injuries occurred.

She observed the destruction early in the morning and assured that their home still has water and electricity, they do not currently need assistance, but she is grateful to everyone asking about their well-being.

These events highlight the ongoing danger faced by peaceful residents of the capital and other Ukrainian cities, who are daily subjected to missile strikes and drone attacks.

Ukrainian air defense systems have shot down a significant number of rockets and drones — out of 433 launched missiles and drones, 349 were intercepted.

However, attacks continue: the night before, Russia launched rockets and drones across various regions, including Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Kamianske.

In Kyiv, a drone strike caused a fire in a multi-storey residential building in the Dniprovskyi district, resulting in at least two deaths and 13 injuries.

These events underscore the heightened threat and tension in Ukraine due to ongoing Russian aggression, which continues to destroy infrastructure and threaten civilian lives.
