According to local military administration head Ihor Taburet, rescue teams responded swiftly to the fires resulting from the attack and managed to extinguish them.
As a result of the strikes, several infrastructure objects, including power lines and transformer stations, were damaged.
Three kamikaze drones were shot down over the region.
In the Sмила community, a street transformer was damaged, leaving over 150 residents without electricity.
Additionally, the region’s residential infrastructure suffered damages, though no injuries were reported.
This incident marks another severe attack on energy facilities in the area.
Previously, Russian attacks on Kharkiv involved mass bombing with aviation bombs, which wounded 11 people.
Today, the energy infrastructure of Chernihiv region was also targeted, resulting in the complete blackout of the regional center and the northern districts.
Emergency repair crews are unable to start restoration work promptly due to continuous circling of Russian UAVs over damaged facilities, complicating efforts to restore power for local residents.
