Russian Attacks on Chernihiv Region: Massive Strikes on Critical Infrastructure
The Chernihiv region experienced a large-scale combined attack by Russian forces, resulting in significant damage to the area’s critical infrastructure.
According to the head of the regional military administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, targets including heating facilities and energy infrastructure in two communities within Chernihiv district were hit.
As a consequence, many settlements, including the city of Chernihiv, were left without electricity, complicating daily life for thousands of residents.
Energy workers are already engaged in restoring the damaged facilities, while generators and resilience points have been deployed to support essential services.
Chaus emphasized that in case of prolonged power outages, additional support points will be established to meet basic needs.
