Romanian Intelligence Uncovers Plot by Ukrainian Saboteurs Under Russian Orders in Bucharest

According to Romanian intelligence, two Ukrainian citizens were detained in the country on suspicion of attempting to set fire to the headquarters of the national postal service, ‘Nova Poshta,’ in Bucharest.

Reports state that the Ukrainians arrived from Poland, bringing packages containing incendiary substances and GPS devices, which were activated remotely to carry out the arson.

Security agencies, collaborating with foreign partners, swiftly identified the dangerous parcels, successfully detonated them, and prevented a potential disaster.

The investigation reveals that the Ukrainians were directed by Russian special services and monitored meticulously during late September and early October.

Currently, investigations continue, involving Romanian law enforcement agencies in examining possible links to sabotage networks under Russian control operating across Europe.

This is not an isolated incident; today in Poland, eight individuals were detained suspected of preparing sabotage activities, including surveillance of military objects and critical infrastructure.
