Mass Drone Attack on Rostov Region: Night of Tension and Destruction
A night marked by multiple explosions and destruction in the Rostov region of Russia has once again underscored the increasing aggression and tension in the area.
On October 21, residents across various districts reported a large-scale drone attack that was accompanied by numerous detonations and fires.
According to local sources, Russian air defenses managed to shoot down several drones over Millerovo, Tarasivka, as well as over the cities of Bataysk, Rostov-on-Don, and the hamlet of Nedvigayka in the Myasnikovsky district.
Officials—including governor Yuri Sliusari—claimed successful interception and no casualties; however, social media is flooded with videos and photos showing damaged buildings, fires, and widespread destruction.
Local inhabitants describe the night as extremely tense and alarming, especially given the number of explosions during the attack.
This isn’t the first such strike on this strategically significant region, which serves as an essential logistical and military hub for Russian forces occupying the area.
The Rostov region hosts military airfields in Millerovo, oil depots, and other critical military infrastructure, making it a target for ongoing assaults amid rising regional tensions.
