British Intelligence Reports Escalation of Russian Strikes on Ukraine’s Critical Infrastructure Ahead of Winter
According to the latest report by British intelligence, the situation in Ukraine is rapidly escalating due to an increase in Russian military attacks targeting vital infrastructure.
Sources, including European Pravda, released an overview Tuesday stating that in September 2025, Russia conducted around 5,500 drone attacks, a significant increase from August’s 4,100, possibly as Moscow tries to demonstrate a willingness to negotiate.
The analysis indicates that the primary goal of these strikes is to damage Ukraine’s strategic energy and utilities infrastructure, especially critical as winter approaches.
The report highlights that Russian forces maintain a high tempo of strikes, combining UAV assaults with missile attacks carried out by long-range bombers, complicating Ukraine’s air defenses.
Experts suggest that the main objective is to weaken Ukraine’s energy networks in preparation for the cold season, aiming to create a severe crisis for civilians.
It is also anticipated that Russia will intensify attacks on critical energy infrastructure during winter to inflict maximum damage and destabilize the population further.
The intelligence indicates that Russia lost over 300,000 soldiers in 2025, underscoring the scale and seriousness of the ongoing conflict.
