Russian Forces Prepare for Major Assaults on Yampol: Frontline Tension Remains High
The Russian enemy continues to amass military strength and construct fortifications in key strategic regions of Donetsk, particularly near Yampol.
According to Dmitry Zaporizhzhia, spokesperson for the 11th Army Corps, invading forces are building new defensive positions in the Serebryansky forest and concentrating mobilized units along the Liman direction to carry out large-scale offensive operations.
Although they currently avoid using heavy equipment on this front due to water obstacles under Ukrainian control, the Russians are actively employing crossings to transfer equipment and personnel.
Military sources report that Russian motorcyclists attempt to breach Ukrainian positions, but have so far been unsuccessful, as Ukrainian drone operators and special forces quickly respond to and neutralize these movements.
It is known that Russian forces managed to break through via artificial crossings into Yampol, capturing part of the settlement, but their advance was halted, and control over the territory was eventually regained by Ukrainian forces.
Additionally, according to the soldier with the call sign ‘Alex,’ Russian units after capturing the village of Terni managed to push further toward Lyman and Serebrianka, complicating the tactical situation for Ukrainian troops in the region.
Overall, the situation remains tense and unpredictable, with Ukrainian defenders doing everything possible to prevent breaches and maintain control of critical positions.
