Russian Attacks on Sumy Region Cause Injuries and Infrastructure Damage
The situation in the Sumy region remains tense amid ongoing Russian military assaults, which have inflicted significant damage to infrastructure and resulted in multiple civilian injuries.
Over the past day, the enemy used guided air bombs, drones, and kamikaze UAVs to breach regional defenses, striking 47 towns and villages across the area.
Among those injured are a 20-year-old young man and three women aged 32, 51, and 53.
The invaders damaged an educational facility, private residences, and an administrative building in the Sumy district, while in the Mykolaiv community, they targeted a utility building.
Drones equipped with explosive payloads continue to be employed in the region, attacking critical infrastructure such as the railway station, damaging train windows and the station building itself, as well as an oil station in Zarychny district.
Earlier, similar strikes affected the Yunakivska community, where two civilians were wounded.
The overall situation remains precarious as the enemy persistently targets civilian objects and vital infrastructure in the region.
