Russia reports massive attack by Ukrainian drones: destruction and potential consequences
On the night of October 18-19, the Russian Federation officially announced that 45 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted and destroyed across various regions of the country.
According to Russian military sources, all 45 drones were eliminated, though details about precise strike locations remain undisclosed.
The attacks targeted multiple areas, with 12 UAVs destroyed over the Samara region, 11 over Saratov, and five each in Rostov and Voronezh.
Smaller numbers of drones were also shot down over Bryansk, Lipetsk, Volgograd, Orenburg, Ryazan, Tver, and Tula regions, with three UAVs reportedly intercepted over occupied Crimea.
Additionally, reports indicate a drone attack on a gas plant in Orenburg, resulting in a fire.
Authorities emphasize that investigations are ongoing, but these events clearly demonstrate active Ukrainian efforts in both informational and military battles, which have persisted for several months.
