Russian Drone Strikes on Kharkiv Region: Fatalities and Injuries Amid Continuous Attacks
On the morning of Saturday, October 18, the Kharkiv region experienced yet another tragic episode caused by enemy drone attacks.
Russian forces launched a kamikaze drone strike targeting a vehicle traveling between villages in the Zolochev community, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old man and serious injuries to three others who were left traumatized.
According to Ukraine’s National Police, the FPV drone strike hit a passenger car, causing the fatality on the spot.
Kharkiv’s Civil-Military Administration head Oleg Syniehubov reported that the assaults were not limited to this area; earlier that morning, the aggressors used an attack drone to strike Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv city.
One of the dormitories was damaged, with windows shattered.
Authorities also announced the necessity of evacuating residents from areas under threat—plans are underway to relocate families with children from communities like Velykoburlutska, Shevchenkivska, and Vilkhuvatka, as well as to evacuate over 600 children from the Kupiansk district to ensure their safety amid ongoing hostilities.
