Former Ukrainian football star suffers serious injury while defending the country on the frontlines
Mykola Zakhotyuk, a retired football player who played for Ukrainian clubs such as ‘Karpaty,’ ‘Skala,’ and ‘Niva,’ is now on the front line defending Ukraine from Russian invaders.
Known for his career on the field, he decided to join the Ukrainian Armed Forces on April 19.
His military journey began near Kostiantynivka, where he was actively involved in defense.
During his departure from his position, he sustained a severe injury from a landmine blast.
Currently, he is hospitalized, and his condition remains critically stable.
