Damage at Crimean Oil Terminal: Satellite Images Reveal Extent of Destruction

Chas Pravdy - 18 October 2025 11:24

Recent satellite images have confirmed the extensive destruction at the oil terminal in Feodosia, located in the Russian-occupied peninsula of Crimea, where Ukrainian strikes took place on October 6 and 13, 2025.

According to reports, at least 11 fuel tanks have been completely destroyed as a result of these attacks, with several others damaged beyond repair.

Journalists from Radio Svoboda published the images, vividly illustrating the catastrophic impact on this critical infrastructure.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that the Russian maritime oil terminal was struck again on the night of October 13, 2025.

During this attack, 16 fuel tanks that survived the previous assault on October 6 were damaged.

The explosion caused a large-scale fire that raged for several days, complicating recovery efforts and rendering quick restoration unlikely.

Notably, despite the installation of the Pantsir air defense system on the terminal in 2022, it proved ineffective in preventing any of the three Ukrainian attacks, underscoring the vulnerability of occupied Crimea’s defenses.

Additionally, in early October 2024, the same facility was targeted in the first large-scale strikes, resulting in the destruction or disabling of 14 tanks, with a fire that lasted over a week.

Experts emphasize that Ukrainian drones are effectively dismantling Russia’s energy infrastructure, forcing the Kremlin to import gasoline that it previously exported.

These developments are beyond tactical strikes—they signify a real-time dismantling of Russia’s energy superpower, which is of strategic importance for the future course of the war.
