Yermak: Zelensky is open to meeting with Putin anywhere in the world except Russia and Belarus
Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, stated that President Volodymyr Zelensky is willing to meet with Vladimir Putin in any country worldwide, except Russia and Belarus.
According to Yermak, during a recent conversation with former U.S.
President Donald Trump, Zelensky confirmed his readiness for negotiations in any format and location, excluding the aggressor country.
Unfortunately, the Kremlin has consistently rejected such meetings, causing concern in Kyiv.
Zelensky also emphasized that recently Russia has been trying to re-engage in peace talks, noting that Moscow is eager to restart dialogue as soon as signs of military activity, including the potential use of ‘Tomahawks,’ are detected.
In early September, Vladimir Putin announced that he would only agree to meet in Moscow, reaffirming his stance against negotiations elsewhere.
