Ukrainian defenders halt Russian advances near Dobropillya: new tactics and battles
In the Dobropillya region, Ukrainian military forces demonstrate high combat readiness and strategic expertise, repelling Russian attacks aimed at gaining the initiative on the front line.
According to independent sources, soldiers from the First Army Corps of the Ukrainian National Guard, including the ‘Azov’ battalion, successfully repelled another mechanized assault by the enemy, reducing their forces to a minimum within hours.
Russian troops, utilizing over two dozen armored vehicles and fighting machines, attempted to advance through a route passing through Popiv Yar towards Volodymyrivka.
However, Ukrainian defenders managed not only to destroy nine and damage four enemy combat vehicles but also reported these actions through videos and monitored resources.
DeepState reports that the enemy has concentrated significant forces, including additional units and equipment, complicating the situation for Ukrainian troops.
Weather conditions — rains and fogs — further hinder Russian aviation and reconnaissance efforts.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces employ a strategy of force distribution: some units hold back the enemy’s push, while others clear residual equipment and signs of Russian accumulation during their advance through Ukrainian defenses.
Success has also been reported in repelling attacks near two settlements, further strengthening defensive positions in this strategically important sector.
Amid stabilization measures and active defense, Russian forces are trying to seize the initiative in this front sector, but Ukrainian defenders courageously and tactically maintain control of the situation.
