Consequences of Russian Attacks on Dnipropetrovsk Region: Fatalities and Infrastructure Damage
On October 16, the Dnipropetrovsk region experienced significant shelling by Russian forces, involving artillery strikes and FPV drone attacks, resulting in casualties and extensive destruction.
According to the State Emergency Service and the regional council head Mykola Lukashuk, a 58-year-old woman was killed in the city of Nikopol, and four other individuals sustained injuries of varying severity.
The wounded include a 49-year-old woman and men aged 38, 57, and 82, all receiving necessary medical aid.The shellings caused the destruction of several residential buildings, along with key infrastructure such as a supermarket, five stores, a manufacturing enterprise, a café, a sports club, as well as damage to multiple vehicles, power lines, and other critical facilities.
Mykola Lukashuk also reported drone attacks in the Synelnykivskyi district.
Additionally, in Pokrovsk community, a 58-year-old woman was killed during a separate shelling.Rescue teams are working at the scene.
Authorities have activated response units to stabilize the situation and assess the damage.
Ukrainian law enforcement and military are continuing efforts to halt the aggression and protect civilians.
