Ukrainian Forces Make Significant Advances in Pokrovsk District: Military Reports Success
Over the past day, Ukrainian troops have achieved notable breakthroughs in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region, advancing up to 1.6 kilometers in certain sectors.
According to Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ukrainian units successfully conducted search and destroy operations against the enemy, covering an area of approximately 3.4 square kilometers within the region.
He emphasized that despite some setbacks faced by the enemy, Ukrainian defenders demonstrated high mobility and rapid response capabilities.
Special recognition was given to the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment and the 253rd Battalion for their bravery and professionalism in the battles.
During the ongoing counteroffensive aimed at liberating Donbas, Ukraine has reclaimed a total of 182 square kilometers of its territory from occupying forces, marking a significant milestone in the conflict.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Russian command has ordered its troops to swiftly seize Pokrovsk due to heavy losses sustained around Dobropole, highlighting the strategic importance of the region and the resilience of Ukrainian defenders.
