Russian Forces Advance in Donetsk Region and Occupy Villages in Dnipropetrovsk: A New Phase of Fighting

Chas Pravdy - 14 October 2025 09:28

Between October 12 and 13, the situation in eastern Ukraine remained tense as Russian troops continued aggressive offensive operations.

According to the Ukrainian information resource DeepState, on the night of October 13, Russian forces occupied the village of Ternove, part of the Velykomykhailivska community in the Synelnykove district of Dnipropetrovsk region.

This event marked one of the latest hotspots in ongoing hostilities, although the Ukrainian General Staff confirmed only shelling in the area, without official reports of occupation.

The front line in this sector remains highly active, with numerous attacks launched by Russian forces.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian military analysts observed movements of the enemy in the northern part of Donetsk region, near Shandrigolovo, as well as along the Liman direction.

Experts warn that Russian successes in these areas are increasing, with more than 13 enemy assaults recorded on the New Pavlivka front, targeting the settlements of Voskresenka, Sichneve, Vorone, Ternove, and Novohryhorivka.

Additionally, reports indicate heightened activity around Lyman, including attempts at advancing towards Shandrigolovo.

The Ukrainian General Staff documented 25 enemy attacks in this sector over the past 24 hours, signaling rising tensions and possible escalation.

An interesting development is the formation of a large ‘gray zone’ near Siverskyi, due to the unusual tactics employed by Russian forces, complicating Ukrainian defensive efforts in the area.
