Record Russian troop losses in Slavyansk sector: emerging trends in combat activities
On the Slavyansk front, Ukrainian defenders are observing a significant intensification of the situation, marked by increased enemy casualties.
Despite a decrease in offensive operations by Russia, Russian forces continue to suffer substantial losses in equipment and personnel.
According to Dmitry Zaporozhets, spokesperson for the 11th Army Corps, the occupiers are attempting to advance toward the settlements of Serebrianka, Dronivka, and Yampile.
Their tactics are chaotic — operating in small groups or even solo, trying to break through Ukrainian defenses.
Recent reports indicate that enemy casualties have sharply increased, from an average of 65–69 killed per day to over 93.
Meanwhile, the number of assault operations has almost halved — from 21 to 11 per day, but this does not reduce Ukrainian military effectiveness, as the enemy continues to suffer significant losses even with fewer attacks.
Additionally, Russian military equipment and personnel are actively accumulating in the operational rear areas, with ongoing efforts to break Ukrainian positions.
This situation demonstrates Russia’s intent to escalate their activities and create additional tension at the front, especially in the Pokrovsk-Midnigrod cluster.
