Ukrainian Forces Repel Attacks Near Donetsk, Enemy Advances Remain Challenging
The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to maintain effective resistance in the eastern part of the country, particularly in Donetsk region, where recent successful counteroffensive operations have taken place.
According to the latest reports, Ukrainian troops have successfully pushed back Russian forces from several strategic and industrial settlements, including Nove Shakhove, Zolotyi Kolyziv, Kucheriv Yar, and Novopavlivka, located along the Pokrovsk direction.
However, the situation remains extremely tense and volatile.
Despite significant losses, the enemy continues assault operations, making advances in certain areas such as Kucheriv Yar and near Shakhove.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports that over 120 combat encounters occurred on October 12 alone, with 36 around the Pokrovsk sector, 20 on the Oleksandrivka line, and 18 in the Pivdenno-Slobozhansk direction.
This highlights the complexity and intensity of ongoing hostilities, which demand the full mobilization of resources to defend Ukrainian territory.
